WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Service Manager to oversee our accounting services department. As an Accounting Service Manager, you will play a critical role in managing a team of accounting professionals, ensuring accurate and timely accounting service delivery for our clients, and delivering exceptional client service. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the financial processes of our clients‘ businesses and driving operational efficiency.
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of accounting professionals, including accountants, bookkeepers, and clerical staff, within our accounting services department.
- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide ongoing feedback and coaching to ensure the team‘s effectiveness, productivity, and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute training and development plans for accounting staff.
Accounting Service Delivery Management
- Oversee the accurate and timely service delivery of tasks related to accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Tax, Financials Closing Activities, …
- Develop and enforce quality control processes for each task performed by the team based on international best practices.
- Maybe required to act as back-up staff when turnover occurs.
Process Improvement and Compliance:
- Continuously evaluate and optimize accounting processes, systems, and controls aiming for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Develop department and individual SLAs and KPIs, and execution plan for team members to follow through.
Client Service and Relationship Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships based on trust, transparency, and exceptional service delivery.
- Understand clients‘ accounting needs, business processes, and industry dynamics, providing guidance and tailored solutions to meet their financial objectives.
- Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and expand service offerings.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, operations, and technology, to ensure high quality accounting service delivery and drive operational excellence.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations in accounting practices and share knowledge and best practices with the team and clients.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor‘s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification is a plus.
- Proven experience (7 years) in accounting, with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and management, preferably within a BPO environment.
- Previous experience (2+ years) in a supervisory or managerial role, with a successful track record of leading and developing accounting teams, preferably within a BPO company.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (e.g., GAAP).
- Proficient in using accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex financial scenarios.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and manage client relationships effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines.
Work Behavior:
- Ability to lead, plan and manage in an entrepreneurial, team-oriented environment.
- Highly organized with strong project management skills, and drive to meet organizational objectives; ability to manage multiple projects on interrelated timelines.
